Guided Auger Boring
Thomas Novelli Contracting
Thomas Novelli Contracting Corp is proud to announce its arrival into the Guided Auger Boring market.
Thomas Novelli Contracting has invested in the latest guided auger technology available with its acquisition of our new BARBCO 48-950 and BABCO Pathfinder PF-500. This equipment coupled together, takes the guesswork out of installing casing pipe on line and grade.
In any boring application, line and grade accuracy is often crucial. The BARBCO Pathfinder Guided Boring Machine (GBM) system allows you to bore with the utmost precision.
The BARBCO 48-950 offers incredible versatility for your utility installation. The 48-950offers nearly one million pounds of thrust, in addition to its 241, 279 ft-lbs. of torque and 174 horsepower. It’s ideal for bores between 12” and 48”, but optional 54” and 60” lift kits are available.
The laser guided Pathfinder system allows the casing pipe to be installed within ¼” accuracy over 400 LF. This eliminates the less accurate and outdated “push and pray” mentality and allows for decreased casing pipe. - Install of underground utilities with less surface disturbance/ restoration than traditional open – trench methods.
- Cost- effective and convenient method to place casing pipe under an existing highway or railroad.
- Smaller casing pipe diameters can be utilized, allowing for tighter utility crossing windows.
- Safely install carrier pipes using pre-fabricated casing pipe spacers, eliminating the need for workers to enter confined space to weld carrier pipes on line and grade.
